About Me

Creative Roots

I’ve had my hands in art for as long as I can remember. I grew up crafting with my mom, exploring fiber arts, and losing track of time in music and theater. Even though I studied art history instead of studio art, creating has always been at the foundation of my life.

Rediscovering Making

Like many, I found my way back to making during 2020. Crocheting, baking bread (yes, I was one of those people!), sewing masks, and generally creating with my hands felt grounding, joyful, and purposeful. In 2022, I took my first pottery class and the studio quickly became my escape and my classroom. Pottery is unpredictable, humbling, and full of small lessons. Mistakes aren’t failures; they’re invitations to experiment and grow.

From Hobby to Studio

In 2024, people started asking if my pieces were for sale. Eventually, I realized that sharing my work was a way to keep creating, learning, and (most importantly) spreading joy. And so, Studio Colette was born: a space for handcrafted treasures that are meant to be used and loved every day.

My Process and Philosophy

My pieces are textured and organic, often inspired by nature’s tiny details: blooming flowers, dancing leaves, and bright, sunlit colors. Each one should bring a little spark of joy and connection to daily life.

I work in small batches, reclaim my clay, and use natural fibers and thoughtful materials wherever I can. Every choice is intentional. The joy of any piece doesn’t come just from what it looks like at the end, but also in knowing that its creation was gentle on the earth, too.

Connection & Community

I imagine my pieces finding their way into homes where color and joy are welcome, where someone smiles at their morning coffee or lights a candle just because.
Studio Colette is about beauty, purpose, and community.

I love connecting with other makers, local shops, and people who care about handmade things. Someday, I hope this studio grows into a place where I can share the magic of making with others.
